Heys.

I did a search on yahoo about the whole "Gigabyte is hailing you" thingie and found a page here (151), but it seems that this page has been replaced, so I'll just throw in my two cents and hope for a reply..

When I booted at June 1st the strangest thing happened; after the vga bios info displayed, instead of the normal bios bootup screen, I got a color picture of a brown dog barking at a brown cat, with a caption below that reads "GIGABYTE IS HAILING YOU!" and the gigabyte logo beneath it.

Is it an easter egg? some sort of a notification perhaps? what happened on june 1st? This is all very strange.

Furthermore, I find it interesting that GB includes a color picture, which is rather large in rom terms, in the contents of the flash rom.

I've mailed GB about it (mailed several email addresses.. I know GB..) and got this reply:

----------------------------------------------------------------------- Hello,

This is non-descructive virus in your motherboard BIOS. Please d/l and re-flash your BIOS. -----------------------------------------------------------------------

Godamn!

If anyone else got this problem (or replies to this posting at all) please email keno@flashmail.com cause I don't think I'll be visiting here too often :)
